VICTORIA
The Health and Well Being Act 2008 and the Health and Well Being Regulations of 2009 were introduced in January 2010. The Health and Well Being Regulations have since been updated in 2019. The Act and Regulations require that a risk management plan (RMP) is prepared in respect of cooling towers and this RMP must be audited annually. Auditors must be accredited by the Victorian Department of Health.
New South Wales
The Public Health Regulation 2012 (the Regulation) requires a risk assessment to be carried out every five years (or more frequently if required), and documented in a Risk Management Plan (RMP).
